Forklift Instructor Training - in-house

Our in-house instructional techniques course allows companies to train an employee up to a standard whereby they can train fellow employees to use mechanical handling equipment on which they themselves are trained. This can be a cost effective way of a company managing their training budget and meeting standards set out in the L117

Who is the course suitable for?

The course is designed for companies who wish to employ an in-house instructor or retrain an existing employee to assist with their training requirements. The candidate should have a reasonable level of literacy and numeracy skills along with a strong desire to teach others and maintain health and safety standards within the workplace

The candidate must hold an accredited certificate of training for each piece of equipment they wish to instruct on. The certificate for the equipment being used for the course must be dates within the last 12 months. The candidate will be re-tested to instructor standard on both the theory and practical elements of the equipment on the first day of the course. The candidate must achieve a high pass on both tests to successfully complete the in-house instructor course. As with all our courses, the equipment being used during the training must be of industry standard and hold a current LOLER certificate for the course to proceed.

The in-house forklift instructor course is a five day course for a maximum of three candidates. The course can be extended to encompass one further candidate.
