This course is designed for all drivers engaged in transporting hazardous substances in tanks, tank containers and packages. Drivers of small vans (3.5 tonnes) are now included in the scope of the regulations if carrying certain types of hazardous goods, dependant on the quantity carried. Courses are conducted by the Scottish Qualifications Authority, with licences being issued by the Department of Transport.
